The IPMI 2021 virtual venue is a Gather.town environment particularly designed for IPMI by VirtualChair. The venue will feature a lounge, three poster rooms, and the main auditorium. All oral presentations will take place in the auditorium. The virtual venue will be open from 7:00am CEST Monday June 28. You can already now familiarize yourself with the virtual Gather.town environment at https://www.virtualchair.net/events/ipmi-2021.
Gather.town connection tip: If you have problems connecting or reconnecting to Gather.town, a workaround can be to clear you browsing data from your browser and reconnect.
Chrome seems to generally work best with Gather.town.
Please contact
help+ipmi-2021@virtualchair.net if you cannot get access or experience other problems.
Please note that Gather.town recommends using Chrome or Firefox browsers. When using Safari, we have experienced both connection problems and that items in the virtual environment can be missing (the venue seems empty). Please use Chrome or Firefox to avoid problems.
In the unlikely event of technical problems, a backup plan is in place for oral presentations and poster sessions.
Venue design
Thorough and lively discussions of the presented scientific results is a hallmark of the IPMI conference series, and we have designed the virtual venue particularly to facilitate and emphasize both scientific and social interactions.
All presenters, both poster and oral, will have booths in the poster rooms allowing to discuss papers both during poster sessions and outside the scheduled program. Teaser videos will be available for all posters, and oral presentations will be held live as well as prerecordings being available for asynchronous viewing. These can be watched either directly in the virtual venue or via the IPMI webpage.
